Key West is great for old houses and famous places, Audubon's Museum, Gardens and Gallery was just another landmark to me until I started painting birds, then the work of Audubon became interesting and intriguing, so in honor of the pioneer, here's a couple of my renditions. JZ December 26, 2014

The best way to relax after a heavy Thanksgiving dinner is to drive west for an hour and roll down the windows while strolling the backroads observing nature and watching the evening sun light up creation.

A new attempt at water-colored ink drawings. The process:

1. pencil drawing then on to
2. ink with permanent markers
3. archival copy on watercolor paper
4. apply loose watercolor, keeping the original ink drawing for posterity
